The 0.9% concentration of benzyl alcohol is carefully calibrated to be safe for most experimental biological systems while effectively preserving the solution.

When to use Bacteriostatic Water in Research:

  • Extended Stability: The addition of benzyl alcohol significantly extends the shelf-life of the reconstituted peptide. Drawbacks:
